Comments on Gateway Concept

· Interfaces between tiers (software) very important

· Interface to back-end security will use Alliance PKI approach

. Will focus on “seamless access” (i.e., invoking given job on any of multiple backend systems), then infrastructure need for “metacomputing” later

· DoD HPCMP is funding initial implementation at ASC MSRC (WPAFB)

· Both OSC and NPAC have specific areas of contribution
