ORB-based Java Middleware (WebFlow)

· To be implemented by NPAC-Syracuse in cooperation with OSC implementation of CCM PSE

· Interface requirements currently being defined -- will use XML

— Client -- Middleware (standard “buttons” on client invoking

middleware services)

— Middleware -- Backend (instantiating generic service request on

chosen backend)

· Effort includes transition to secure environment (Kerberos/SecurID) and interface to ASC scheduler (PBS)

. Will provide generic “services” such as access to scheduler, job composition, visualization, job submission, etc.

· Fully functional demo planned for SC99

· Replication of PSEs for other computational areas will follow based on structure developed for CCM
