1 What is Visualization?
  • The transformation of data or information into pictures.
  • Scientific Visualization:
    • Encompasses user interface, data representation, processing algorithms, visual representations, and other sensory presentations.
2 As data/information becomes larger, scientist need to collaborate to better understand this information.
3 Use Java for platform independence, and ease of use of working with other languages (JNI) when needed for performance
