Foil 27 TANGO Client Installation: UNIX

1 Un-tar creates the following directory structure
2 trurl:/usr/people/mp/webwisdom% ls
3 BuenaVista/ Copyright README.html exec/ tango_plugin14/
4 Change directory to exec/ and run the command
5 source tangorc
  • tangorc script sets environment variables
  • you have to source the script from the exec directory!
  • to make envvariables setup permanent, you must embed call to tangorc in your .cshrc file
6 All this is needed since UNIX has no global registry
