WebStreamer - TANGO Integration: Screendumps
- Step 1:
Video on Demand server search interface called from TANGO Control
Application. All search capabilities supported by NPAC WebStreamer
are available to the TANGO VoD client.
- Step 2:
Video on Demand master client selects and plays back a video clip.
- Step 3:
TANGO VoD master client receives a request to join the playback
session. Alternatively, the master can start one or multiple
slave sessions on machines connected to the TANGO server.
- Step 4:
TANGO VoD master client continues playback, but now is re-transmitts
the video stream to a multicast address (i.e., the master client
acts as an RTP translator). Multicast session setup is
transparently handled by TANGO session control.
- Step 5:
TANGO VoD slave client receives the video stream. Stream playback
is under control of the master client; all slave clients are synchronized.
Slave client can stop and resume playback at any time.
In a typical application, the master client would be used by the lecturer
and slave clients would be started on students' workstations.
Please, note: All screendumps show an obsolete version of the
TANGO Control Application. WebStreamer functionality is not affected
by the version of TANGO CA.
