Foil 84 What are JavaBeans I

From General NPAC Foils-B starting June97(PowerPoint) Beijing -- 28 Dec 97 to 5 Jan 98. by Geoffrey C. Fox

1 They are Java's implementation of "component-based" visual programming
2 This modern software engineering technique produces a new approach to libraries which become a "software component infrastructure(SCI)"
3 There is a visual interface to discovery of and setting of values of and information about parameters used in a particular software component
4 JavaBeans uses the event model of JDK1.1 to communicate between components
  • This is exactly same as new AWT event model and shows power of this new model
