One can specify the different versions of the Language
e.g.:
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript1.1"> Ignored by Netscape Navigator 2.0
location.replace("versionofpagefornav3.0.html");
</SCRIPT>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript1.0" > Read by Netscape Navigator 2.0
..........
location.replace(URL) replaces current page with new URL which in this case is assumed to hold a version with nifty new JavaScript 1.1 features
