A VRML file is a textural description of your VRML world. VRML file consists of the following parts
  • The VRML header
  • Comments - notes to yourself
  • Nodes - nuggets of scene information
  • Fields - node attributes you can change
  • Values - attribute values
  • Node Names - names for reusable nodes
  • Prototypes - Build your own data structures
  • Shapes, interpolators, sensors, and scripts build world
  • Routes - Link events together for coordinated action
