Foil 54 HPF Directives

From GCF Talk U - Lewis/NASA 3/9/92 Mardi Gras Conference on Concurrent Computing in Physical Sciences -- February 18, 1993. by Geoffrey C. Fox

Syntactic form of a structured Fortran environment
A program that contains directives is expected to generate the same results whether directives are processed or not, assuming that the directives are used correctly
HPF directives are consistent with Fortran 90
  • if HPF were to be adopted as part of a future Fortran standard, only the comment character and the directive prefix would have to be removed from HPF directives
  • directives follow either free source form or fixed source form
