3 Includes the study of new algorithms, languages and models in computer science and applied mathematics required by the use of high performance computing and communications in any (?) important application
  • At interface of (applied) computer science and applications
4 Includes computation of complex systems using physical analogies such as neural networks and genetic optimization.
