  • Error and special situations handling
  • Enforces creation of metadata
  • Created HTML files with more descriptive contents
Playback tools:
  • improved protocol for video/slideshow tools communication (now supports pre-fetch)
  • foils over audio for low-performance platforms
  • Java video player version for SGI machines
    • modified object handling to circumvent garbage collection problems in SGI Java VM
