The following work was done in June:
  - Configuration of computer for Oracle support:
    Sun Ultra 450, 1GB RAM, 27 GB HDD, FDDI
    Solaris 2.6. This machine will be used
    for database back-end development in the first phase
    of the project
  - Installation / configuration of
     Oracle 8i Enterprise Edition ver 8.1.5  for Solaris 2.6
     (with Tools and Utilities, PL/SQL, Net8, Intelligent Agent, JDBC):
     database server with extensive support for Java, XML, SQLJ
  - Installation / configuration of
    Oracle Enterprise Manager 2.0.4 (Client and Server)
      for Solaris and Windows NT
  - Installation /configuration of
    Oracle WebDB 2.0.5.6.1 - Oracle solution for builing, deploying
     and monitorung Web sites and web enabled database 
     applications. Can be used to browse, manage the DB
     and create web applications
  - Installation / configuration of
     Oracle Application Server  4.0 for Solaris 2.6
  - Compilation / Installation and configuration of
     Apache server 1.3.6 with DOS and Servlet support
       (JServ 1.0, JSDK 2.0)
  -  Project majordomo email lists of technical
     contacts including all participating 
     organizations (ARL, ASC, NCSA, NPAC)

  - YuPing Zhu participated in Oracle iDevelp'99 conference
      Boston, June 22-23
     It  covered Oracle 8, Oracle 8i, Oracle Java and XML support
     Oracle Internet File System, WebDB, JDBC, Dynamic 
     Application Server.
