Enterprise JavaBeans is Sun's flagship proposal for a better way to write distributed software systems. And let's face it, we need one. In too many cases, software that's more than three years old already seems archaic and in need of a rewrite. Developers should be able to write code that will survive technology advances, not obsoleted by them.

At ejbhome, we think Enterprise JavaBeans can help. But so what? So does everyone else, judging by the numbers of companies that want to take a look at it. With so many vendors increasing their commitment to EJB, it seems they'll be well supported.

It appears that an incremental update to the Enterprise JavaBeans specification is around the corner. Sun have promised an incremental release "real soon now" which should address some of the initial shortcomings with the original version. We've always felt it's better to get the spec. right now, rather than wait until it's too late. With this in mind, we welcome such evolution.
