NPAC has also been involved in other educational outreach programs. In the summer of 1994 we taught a computer multimedia course based on the Web to 40 8th grade students as part of the Young Scholars Program at Syracuse University (see http://www.npac.syr.edu/EDUCATION/PUB/YSP). Since 1991, NPAC has hosted a very successful Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) site program in HPCC and computational science (see http://www.npac.syr.edu/REU). In addition, NPAC has been leading efforts to develop a computational science curriculum at Syracuse University, at both undergraduate and graduate level. Syracuse now offers a masters degree and an undergraduate minor in computational science.
