From Paul Coddington at 04:15:23 on 09/16/95:
-
Because molten rock is way cool.
-
From Gary Markovits at 05:16:58 on 09/16/95:
-
I think Barry Voight studies volcanoes to learn about the
inner workings of the earth. I also think they will teach
us a lot about generating environmentally safe energy some
day.

When my family went to Hawaii they went to the top of the
volcanoe that exploded and formed Maui. They said the
volcanoe was dead and you could look down into the top.
My science teacher told me they used the inside of this
volcanoe to test the lunar buggy that was used in space.
She said that the land inside the dead volcanoe was just
like the moon. This is another reason to study volcanoes.

I think Barry Voight studies volcanoes for two reasons. The first is becuase he wants to learn "what makes them tick." It sounds like he enjoys conducting his experiments. And the second reason is that he states that he loves working out doors and the adventure or risk that the job brings.
-
From Larry Zahn at 15:02:50 on 09/20/95:
-
I think he studies volcanoes because they are there!
-
From Gary at 20:21:14 on 09/22/95:
-
This is a demo, I really don't want to say anything about
volcanoes.
-
From Nikki Markovits at 00:38:58 on 09/26/95:
-
I think he likes working with volcanoes because you don't
see a volcano every day.
-
From Kim at 13:15:26 on 01/17/96:
-
Barry must be in Hawaii.
-
From Sheila at 13:30:20 on 01/17/96:
-
If he finds it interesting he may study and devote his life to it.

From Sheila at 13:30:28 on 01/17/96:
-
If he finds it interesting he may study and devote his life to it.
-
From Chris Petrillo at 13:39:39 on 01/17/96:
-
Because he thinks it's fun.
-
From Karen at 13:00:03 on 01/23/96:
-
Because he saw Journey to the Center of the Earth when he was a kid and thought it was cool.
-
From John at 15:47:51 on 01/29/96:
-
He got stuck in one as a kid and he had a chance
to study them. He then found out that he liked it
so he continued.
-
From Elizabeth at 20:05:23 on 02/08/96:
-
He studies volcanoes because they are cool, and maybe he likes dangerous work.
-
From Richard at 18:41:21 on 02/15/96:
-
He is related to the Pele, the goddess of volcanoes.
-
From Paul Coddington at 23:37:03 on 04/24/96:
-
Because he gets to travel to exotic places all over the
world to study volcanoes.
-
From Gary Markovits at 19:13:44 on 05/24/96:
-
This is another demonstration of VitalZines. This has nothing to do with volcanoes.
-
From Mac Lalor at 17:19:08 on 05/28/96:
-
I think mr. Voight is interested in predicting volcanic eruptions, so people can be warned about them in advance.
-
From Jim Lally at 17:19:28 on 05/28/96:
-
I think Barry Voight studies volcanoes in order to increase our knowledge of them and be better able to predict their activity.
-
From Marsha at 18:21:28 on 06/03/96:
-
I think Barry studies volcanoes because they are beyond our control and people want to understand nature.
-
From Joyce at 18:21:41 on 06/03/96:
-
This is a fascinating subject with great potential to investigate many scientific principles.
-
From Victor DePauw at 10:31:57 on 07/02/96:

-
From Corey Markovits at 20:12:22 on 09/10/96:
