• Short-term:
  To obtain a Ph.D. degree in Computer and Information Science. I am most interested in the development of the technologies involoving the Artificial Intellegence, especially Neuro Computing, and hope to be contributive to the futther development of such technologies during my doctorate studies.
• Mid-term:
  To obtain an assistant professor position at an American university where I can participate in challenging research projects. I plan to stay in the USA for 3 to 5 years and hope to become one of the leading experts in my field.
• Long-term:
  To return to Taiwan and secure a professorship at my Alma Mater, where I can impart what I learn as a teach, researcher and student in the USA to the new generation of young intellectuals in Taiwan while continuing to do research of my interest. I hope that my teaching and research work can help raise the educational and research quality of Computer Science in general and Neuro Computing in particular of Taiwan's academic circle.
