Hi Everyone
There will be a change in the dialup procedure for reaching NPAC.
The reason for this change is that we are going to enable SLIP connections
to NPAC as well as the tty sessions that you now have.  We anticipate
this change to happen on Wed 8 Mar 1995.  If this will cause problems
or during or after the change causes problems please contact
    systems@npac.syr.edu

For those of you who are not interested in SLIP this change will mean
that rather than loginning in once when you dial in you will have to log
in twice.  We will provide detailed instruction next week and will also
have them available at the login prompt.

For those of you interested in SLIP, you will login first (to the 
dial in box) and then from there you will invoke SLIP to one of 
the NPAC machines.  This will work the same way that other SU
dialup lines work.  Instructions will be provided and posted.
