ACTIVITIES IN THE 1997 FALL TERM

• DIS PDU Data Visualization program for ARL. (Oracle, Servlet, VRML2.0), With Tom, Balaji, Gopi, and Zeynep. I helped the development of front-end.

• SIW/AMG Paper Database (Tom prepared the Database part, I started to enter records )

• JWORB HTTP part is finished (includes HTTP 1.0 , Servlet, CGI )

• WebFlow Improvements.

• contributed to the development of SciVis module for the WebFlow's HPCC demos.

• Ported RTI Corba Cap to omniORB2 but we have problems with it. We need check this with Orbix C++.

• finished a multithreaded Event Service for omniORB2 with C++ and omniThread library.

• Prepared various technology pages: SPEEDES, DIS, CORBA, Parallel and Distributed Processing,...

PLAN FOR THE 1998 SPRING TERM

• Finish JWORB's ORB parts and do the performance analysis. ORB is not going to include Interface and Implementation repositories but it will have Name Service and Event Service support.

• SPEEDES and FMS related activities (CMS,SPEEDES,..etc.)

• write RTI on top of JWORB server as a CORBA Facility

• Continue to improve WebFlow's back-end/front-end.

• ARL Data Visualization : One more screen to allow the user enter SQL query.

• Adding all the SIW Conferences and AMG Meetings records.
