Welcome to the Akenti Monitoring Applet

This applet requires JDK 1.1.1 to work. JDK 1.1.1 is supported by Netscape Communicator 4.06 and 4.5. There is also a plugin from Sun for earlier versions of Netscape. The plugin will work for later versions of Netscape as well, and has the advantage of using the Java swing classes that are stored on your client host. Without the plugin, the 1.6M swing.jar file must be downloaded from the server.

When the applet comes up you need to connect to the Akenti web server. Use the "connect" button at the bottom of the page. It will ask for a login identity. Use the one that matches the Common Name field in your Distinguished Name. It will use this to match your Secure Access to the Akenti server. This connection will timeout after 10 minutes of idle time, and display an Applet warning window. You can reconnect, if you wish to continue using the applet.
