An example of queueing problem
Cars arrive at a gas station with one pump and leave after being serviced. Assume that the probabilities of cars’ arrival and service time both follow Poisson distribution with mean rates ?=0.1 minute-1 and ?=0.5 minute-1 respectively.
Simulate the arrival of cars, service time of cars and
(a) arriving queue (time list of cars’ arrival);
(b) leaving queue (time list of cars’ leaving);
(c) number of cars in the gas station.
