1 Comprehensive Mine Simulator
  • widely-used FMS application
  • currently runs on uniprocessor SGI systems, up to 50,000 mines
  • target of 1,000,000 mines -- requires HPC
2 Year 2 planning and scoping of parallelization effort not yet complete due to delays in obtaining CMS source code. Full Year 3 proposal to be delivered as soon as planning is completed
  • Effort will be joint with CMS group, lead by Steve Bishop, Night Vision Directorate, Ft. Belvoir, VA
  • ARL has expressed interest in participating in parallelization effort
