1 High Level Architecture and Real-Time Infrastructure
  • DMSO-mandated technology for FMS applications (successor to DIS)
  • Very new -- transition just beginning, little experience
  • Designed to provide distributed computing environment, including services needed by simulations (I.e. time, data management)
  • Closely related to (I.e. can be built on) web/network technologies (Java, CORBA)
  • NPAC developing Object Web HLA metacomputing environment (funded by CEWES MSRC, ARL MSRC, and other sources)
  • Project goal create demonstration of distributed computing with FMS application using web-based technologies
