Ask an expert (This becomes Collaborative Mentor model using Java Servers on the web)
Read a review article -- this highly refined high value information which is inevitably somewhat out of date
Full Web Search withsome sort of keywords --this is poorly refined with low "hit rate" but very up to date
Subscribe to mailing lists
Limited Web Search of restricted domain
NHSE is using and linking all these approaches to achieve both high value and timeliness.
Most effective approach is unclear and important in many areas (outside NHSE) but tradeoff in approaches will be different in different areas.
