1 This is the protocol for sending GIOP messages between ORB's.
2 To ensure "out-of-the-box" compatibility, the IIOP specification requires that ORB's send GIOP messages over TCP/IP.
3 Using IIOP, can CORBA client can speak to any other CORBA object in a way that is location transparent.
