DTD - Attribute List

• Attributes are used to associate name-value pairs with elements

• Attribute specifications may appear only within start-tags and empty-element tags

• Declarations may be used to:

  • define the set of attributes fort a given element
  • establish constraints for these attributes
  • provide default values for attributes
