iSGTW Highlights Success Story

French student, Pierre Riteau was featured in an International Science Grid This Week (iSGTW) article for his work in provisioning virtual resource from six Nimbus clouds. Three of the clouds are in Grid 5000 and three in FutureGrid. Riteau also created a distributed virtual cluster of over one thousand cores.

FutureGrid co-PI Kate Keahey (University of Chicago) co-authored the paper that Riteau inspired. "In the paper, we talked about standards and cloud markets and various mechanics that might lead to sky computing over multiple clouds, and then that idea was picked up by many projects," said Keahey.
