OpenStack Folsom on Alamo

 
OpenStack Folsom is available to users on Alamo via the OpenStack Dashboard web interface. You can login using your FutureGrid portal user name and password.

We will be upgrading to the next OpenStack version (Grizzly) in the near future, but users are welcome to use Folsom until them. Some basic information about how to use this web interface is available from the redhat customer portal (look at the sections with 'Dashboard' in the title). If you have any questions or problems, please submit a FutureGrid ticket.

Please note that users cannot move virtual machine images between this installation and cloud platforms on other FutureGrid system. This is because virtualization on Alamo is accomplished using KVM while other FutureGrid systems use Xen. Several example virtual machine images are available and users can upload their own KVM-compatible images.
