Future Testbeds
Project Information

This project will be used to explore similarities and differences between FutureGrid and Emulab. GENI, and PRObE. We will look at what these platforms can learn from each other, and what future opportunities might exist for collaboration.
Intellectual MeritThe intellectual merit of this project will lie in the identification of fundamental features of testbeds, and looking for future directions for research on testbeds.
Broader ImpactsThis project will help us to better serve the research and education communities that are currently served by testbeds, and to expand into supporting new communities. The research thus supported is expected to have large impacts both within and beyond computer science.

Explore FutureGrid's capabilities
Scale of UseI expect the resource usage to be light and occasional, as I'm more interested in the capabilities than running 'real' experiments, and I expect that this will occur over a long period of time (months to years).
