Description

On December 7-8, 2013 (Saturday and Sunday) SDSC's west data center will require a partial shutdown to complete a planned generator expansion construction. This outage will affect both Sierra and Lima machines. We will shut the system down on Friday at 5pm Pacific and we expect the system to be operational by Monday at 8am Pacific.

Update 12/9: we are having some restarting our storage machines. Due to travel this may take an extra day.

Update 12/10: we have made some progress and have one machine backup but still having issues with the second. Again due to travel we are delaying this one more day.

Update 12/10 7:21 PM Pacific: Storage is back online so Sierra HPC is once again available. We had some problems getting Nimbus back online so will leave this outage open till its resolved. Lima is also still unavailable.

Resolution

Nimbus and Lima are back up.
