Data Analysis in the Cloud

Abstract

We propose to run experiments on Future Grid to learn how to access the cloud, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the system for scientific data analysis.

Intellectual Merit

This independent study will evaluate the ease of use for a novice user of Future Grid.

Broader Impact

A student in an under represented community and state will have the opportunity to use a state-of-the-art research platform.

Use of FutureGrid

Try some data analysis codes on Future Grid, and use for training and special students projects.
