Welcome to the Hadoop on FG forum

There are several ways on how to use or deploy Hadoop on FG. This Forum is intended to discuss some of these ways and allow the FG user community to coordinate their activities and exchange their experience.

The methods we see include

a) the fg-hadoop command hat submits a hadoop job to the queuing system

b) the generation of an image that is cretaed with the fg-generate image command

d) the use of a version of hadoop installed by the system staff (least interesting)
