This tutorial will include hands-on exercises and guided examples. This tutorial will:
- Provide examples of several Science Gateways and Web Portals useful in support of e-Science, created by many participants and users of the U.S. TeraGrid
- Present information about how to create Science Gateways using the Open Grid Computing Environment
- Provide an overview of the U.S. TeraGrid and its resources that provide potential backends for Science Gateways
- For U.S. participants, or international participants looking for U.S. collaborators, we will briefly present information on how to apply for and receive allocations of TeraGrid resources for hosting Science Gateways
Participants will have hands-on activities using the LEAD (Linked Environments for Atmospheric Discovery) Science Gateway to predict weather.
