About the introduction of Cloud computing

When introducing Cloud computing to students, is it a good idea to share some case studies to illustrate different clouds and cloud-based applications?

Can someone share some slides to show why we need clouds and the comparison with other high-end computing environments, like HPC clusters, Grid?
