FAQ: What login name should I use when logging into hotel.futuregrid.org with Putty?

You should be using your portal username. If this does not work there could be multiple reasons for that:
a) Your account has not yet been approved (most likely). Account approvals take some time and are only conducted between 9am-5pm EST Mon-Fri. Typically there is a delay of one day. For the summer school we will start approving accounts at 10am if they have not yet been approved.
a.1) After a system administrator approves your account it will take 5-15 minutes for the account to be activated on hotel.
b) Something is wrong with your setup. We have a special team available that will help you ientifying your issue starting at 10am EST Mon
