OpenStack Dashboard

There are two ways to launch an instance from an image. First way being the command line and the second way is Web Console. Web Console is one of the easiest way to manage your virtual machines

OpenStack Dashboard of Future Grid is a web Console.
Please follow the steps that are listed below.These steps will enable you to log in OpenStack Dashboard of Future Grid.

  1. You must have an account in Future Grid portal (http://archive.futuregrid.org/gettingstarted)
  2. Now follow the steps that are oulined in this link(http://archive.futuregrid.org/accessing-futuregrid-resources-ssh)
  3. Type the command
    module load futuregrid

    in you linux console

  4. Set password of the OpenStack Dashboard by typping the command
    fg-passwdstack -u

    in your linux console. Here you will be prompted to enter your Future Grid account password and then you will be asked to set the OpenStack Dashboard's password.

  5. Now you are all set to log in Openstack Dashboard with your FutureGrid portal username and password which you had set in step 4. Use the URL below for login in OpenStack Dashboard
